First of all we send you FREE access to our members only website where you will be able to very simply complete our 2 introductory questionnaires. These questionnaires will provide us with an in depth health history, diet and lifestyle analysis and medical history for every new client in order that we can start to find out the reasons you are not as healthy as you could be by identifying your hidden internal stressors.
From this information we will see a profile of your current health status and whether you are a low or high risk with high risk areas requiring immediate attention. Those that have an overall low risk can see significant gains in their health by focussing on the right exercise for them and healthy food choices. At Balanced Fitness we have many exercise options from one-to-one personal training to group exercise.

For those with moderate and high risk areas we would offer you functional medicine lab tests to identify your hidden internal stressors. We will use simple tests to assess the function of your hormone, digestion, immune and detoxification systems. If appropriate we typically perform up to 8 lab tests using hair, saliva, urine, blood and stool samples.
The information from these lab tests will allow us to tailor your health building program to your individual goals, financial, time constraints and priorities. The Balanced Fitness Health Building Program will cover exercise, diet, rest, stress reduction strategies and supplementation.

For those that have hidden internal stressors such as low hormone levels, food intolerances and digestive infections we will design an individualised exercise program.
This program will involve high intensity sessions but balanced with low intensity, stress reducing and energy building sessions focussed on proper breathing and specific movements that benefit areas of stress in your body.
We will individualise your nutrition plan so that you are eating the foods that are right for you, the food you need right now to function more efficiently and allow your body to recover. The information from the lab tests will allow us to also recommend the right supplements for you to help support your hormones, repair your digestive, boost your immune system and allow your liver to remove toxins more efficiently.
Blocking factors can cover a variety of issues for each person that basically stop them succeeding in their health building program. Blocking factors are the specific areas that Balanced Fitness can help you with that other gyms, health clubs and clinics commonly overlook, everything from electro-magnetic radiation (mobiles and wifi), cosmetics, poor quality food, poor personal and business relationships and in some cases existential angst where you have not yet figured your purpose in life and what direction you should take.
In many cases you will need mental and emotional help coping with life's stresses and we can offer that too with sessions in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) so that you have simple techniques to use in your everyday life. Meditation and hypnotherapy can also be used. Emotional stress can be the primary blocking factor preventing you from achieving your health goals.
Posture, pain and problems with your structure have a very powerful impact on your energy levels and day to day function and is an often overlooked area when tackling stress and ill-health. Your posture can directly affect not only your pain and how you move but also your ability to digest food. Poor posture, back pain and joint problems can further reduce your overall energy and building health requires a lot of energy. Physiotherapy and massage therapy will allow you to perform more challenging and beneficial exercises, pain free and with less risk of injury which means you can continue to work out week in week out. This directly affects consistency a very important factor for health building success.

I have a business and a family and time is precious and I do a lot of exercise but I have really benefitted from Stephen constantly reinforcing the need for damn good technique.
